iPhone 8 Launch Event To Take Place on 12th September

The iPhone 8 launch has been awaited for quite a long while now. For months there were speculations on what the gen-next iPhone would be like and what it would feature. All of this will be put to rest as Apple officially announces the iPhone 8 on the 12th of September. The company has now started sending out press invitations for their launch event.

This launch event will take place in the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino and would be Apple’s first ever event there. The event takes place on 12th of September at 10am. This is expected to be a big day as Apple gears up to launch the 10th anniversary iPhone.

What to Expect from the iPhone 8 Launch Event?

Apple is expected to announce three iPhones at this event. The iPhone 8, iPhone 7s as well as iPhone 7s Plus. However, all of this is based on speculation. Similar rumors had surfaced last year too, that Apple might launch a third iPhone 7 Pro variant, which never really came out.

The next generation of iPhone devices will come out with thinner top and bottom bezels. The bottom ‘chin’ of the phone is expected to get thinner and rumors have indicated that Apple might do away with the touch ID sensor and instead bring in either a 3D facial scanner feature or a built-in fingerprint sensor embedded in the screen. At least one of the three iPhone models (most probably the iPhone 8) is expected to come out with an OLED display.

In addition to the launch of the gen-next iPhone devices, Apple is also expected to announce an upgrade to the Apple TV streaming device. They are expected to introduce support for HDR and 4K technologies into the Apple TV. Stay tuned with us for more details on the iPhone 8 launch event. We will be covering the launch live on the 12th of September. Stay tuned!
