YouTube, world’s largest video sharing platform has introduced a Community tab for all the creators. YouTube contains videos in various categories. YouTube has now become a Social Network. With the help of this new feature, all the creators will be able to talk with the users directly. Also, all the subscribed users now will be notified by the latest news from the channel.
Currently, the feature has been in the beta version and is being tested on 12 different YouTube Channels. After proper integration of the feature, it will be rolled out in next few months. This feature allows the creator to share texts, videos, GIFs and photos with all of the subscribers of the channel. This feature has been integrated so that the creators don’t migrate to the other social media platform for the announcement and can involve the public not only through videos but by other means too.
Recently, YouTube is testing this feature 12 Channels, the company said on its blog. List of all the 12 channels is mentioned in the blog. Senior Product Manager, Kiley McEvoy said “Community is a special release for us because it represents the deepest product collaboration we’ve ever done with creators like you. We started by inviting creators in early to develop, in partnership with us, the tools they wanted to better engage with their fans”.
Also added, “We are launching the Community beta today with these creators, but we look forward to bringing more of you onboard. This is a first step and, with creator and fan feedback, we look forward to rolling out new features and functions as well as including more creators in the months ahead”.
The community tab reduces the time for the creators, as they will be able to communicate with the users directly and will get feedbacks easily. Also, the tab can be used to declare upcoming videos, live streams and various other contents. This new tab will be available in few months on Desktop and on the latest version of Android and iOS.
