Apple’s WWDC event is one of the most awaited Apple events every year. This is that time of the year when Apple introduces their plans for the next 12 months. This weeklong event is usually the time where Apple announces major updates and upgrades for their Operating Systems: iOS, tvOS, watchOS and macOS. Apple might introduce new hardware devices as well. Let us take a look at what the company plans to do at this upcoming WWDC 2017 event.
The event would be held from 5th to the 9th of June. It would take place at the McEnery Convention Centre in San Jose, California. This is the 28th World Wide Developers Conference event from Apple.

iOS 11
Apple’s next major update to the iOS is likely to be announced at the event. The iOS 11 would feature major changes coming to Siri. Current speculations indicate that Siri is going to get more ‘natural’ than ever before. In addition to that Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence capabilities of Siri would improve. Another major update that is likely to come out with the iOS 11 is the arrival of dark mode.

MacOS 10.13
Another major OS update that is expected to be announced at the WWDC 2017 is that of the next version of the MacOS. The MacOS 10.13 (expected to be named after a place beginning with an M, (possibly Malibu)), is expected to feature updates such as conference calls in FaceTime. A redesigned iTunes too, is expected. Apple had replaced the ‘save as’ shortcut with the ‘Duplicate’ option. However, Save As is expected to return. A Health App for the MacOS is also expected, allowing you to track your health related data on your PC.

WatchOS 4
Another major update that we expect to be shown off at the WWDC pertains to the Apple Watch devices. The gen-next Watch based Operating System, the WatchOS 4 is likely to make its debut at the WWDC 2017. Apple was reported to be testing out Skiing and Snowboarding as new sports to be added to the Apple Watch’s activities. The ability to pause a workout is likely to make its way to third party apps. An Always-On watch face is also expected

tvOS 11
We also expect Apple to talk about their next generation tvOS update. The tvOS 11 update is also likely to be announced at the WWDC 2017 event. Apple is likely developing its 5th generation Apple TV device. This too can be announced at the event and go out for sales later this year. One of the biggest updates that we expect from the tvOS 11 is that it would bring in improvements in the categorization of content. Chromecast support has been demanded by the users for a very long while, would be interesting if Apple does bring it around this time.

iPad Pro 2
A gen-next iPad device is expected to be launched at the event. Apple had registered four new iOS device model numbers with the Eurasian Economic Commission: A1671, A1709, A1670, and A1701. These numbers match that of previous iPad devices. As of now only limited details are known about the iPad Pro 2, likely to come out with a 13 inched display.
