Vodafone India, the second largest mobile operator in terms of subscribers base, launched the 4G services in Surat, Gujarat. The company has invested more than 500 crore rupees in the project. Vodafone launched an array of tariff plans. As per the current plans, it offers 30MB of data at a price of Rs 8 only. If a customer buys a data pack more than 1GB, then the customer will get twice the data allowance and unlimited Vodafone to Vodafone calls. Customers can freely upgrade to 4G services and can get 4G SIM and double data - 20GB for Rs 998.
A day after the Reliance Jio has launched its data tariff plans for its customers, Vodafone launched the 4G services in Surat Gujarat. A war has been started against all the telecom operator after Reliance has announced its plans. Reliance Jio is offering data plans at 1/10th of the current market rates. Currently, Reliance Jio is offering free voice calls and data services till 31st December 2016. All the Jio’s tariff plans will be effective from 1st January 2017.

“Customers buying greater than 1GB packs will get twice the data allowance and unlimited local Vodafone to Vodafone calls,” a Vodafone release said adding they can also enjoy 3-month access to free TV, movies and videos on Vodafone Play as part of 4G subscription.
Vodafone is taunting its excellent 4G LTE network on 1800Mhz with extensive fibre backhaul, high quality of upload/download speeds with faster internet experience and experience of gaming, music, chat and two-way video calling with faster response time. Customers can walk to any of the Vodafone brand store’s or any multi-brand outlets can get the 4G sim for free. Also, existing customers can upgrade to 4G services for free. All the Postpaid customers can get the 4G SIM at their doorstep by contacting any Vodafone Customer Care or just by texting 4GSIM to 199.
The launch of 4G services in Gujarat are followed by Kerala, Karnataka, Kolkata, Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Haryana and UP East. The company’s 4G services will be soon available in West Bengal and 1000 towns later at the end of this year. The Nine Circles of Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Karnataka, Kerala, Haryana, Gujarat, UP (E) and West Bengal, which contribute towards 70% of the company’s data revenue.
