Mortal Kombat series of games are among some of the most popular names when it comes to the markets of gaming over the past several years. The game began as being simply about fighting, but evolved to much more over the years. With movies, tv shows, cartoons, comics and much more being developed about the franchise and its characters, it has indeed become a part of the modern day culture. The tenth installment of the series came out when Mortal Kombat X was launched last year. Earlier this year, the company announced Mortal Kombat XL, which included all previously released downloadable content and an additional Kombat Pack 2, as well as netcode improvements.
The Mortal Kombat XL was released for the XBOX One and PS4 in the March of this year. While the game was highly anticipated to release for the PC as well, the plan was later dropped, and it never really came out. The PC gamers were left disappointed. However, they now have a reason to be happy again!
Ed Boone, the creator of the game had been hinting the Mortal Kombat XL for PC in his tweets since a few days. In addition to this, the SteamDB site noted that a particular file has now been renamed to MKXL Enhanced Online Beta in Steam listings. This is a major indicator of the fact that the much awaited game is finally releasing for the PC.
The developers had initially decided to not release Mortal Kombat XL for PC because the reception of the game on the platform was rather poor. Not much was expected from this expansion on the PC too. However, the company bowed down to the demands of the gamers, and is now likely to release the Mortal Kombat XL for PC in the months to follow. This is indeed exciting news for PC gamers.
