Microsoft’s XBOX Game Pass Subscription Service To Launch in June

Over the years, subscription services have proven to be a stable and successful model for content services. Gaming too, is moving towards a similar direction. Although this move has been at a glacial pace so far, things are all set to accelerate with the XBOX Game Pass subscription service, which was recently announced. This service, which will be available from the 1st of June, is all set to refresh your gaming experience.

This service was announced back in February of this year, but the launch date has only just been revealed. This XBOX Game Pass subscription offers the users access to over 100 XBOX One and XBOX 360 games for only $9.99 per month. While the Game Pass subscription comes to regular users from the 1st of June, those using XBOX Live Gold subscription can start a 14 day trial from today itself!

Halo 5, Gears of War 3, BioShock are just some of the top names which are a part of what the users will have access to once they subscribe to the XBOX Game Pass subscription service. “Each month, Xbox Game Pass will add a new set of games to the catalog so there is always something new to play across a diversity of experiences, genres, ratings, and more,” the company says.

What separates this from Sony’s PlayStation Now service is the fact that XBOX will actually download the entire game instead of streaming it. This makes the gameplay experience a lot fluid and better! Users who are interested in purchasing any of the titles can do so at a discounted rate!

The way we look at it, the XBOX Game Pass subscription does offer the users with an interesting collection of games at quite an affordable price. At just $9.99, users can access a number of games, and it is a win-win for the games as well as Microsoft. It also helps curb piracy to some extent.
