Lenovo is all set to launch their gen-next flagship smartphone, the Lenovo K8 Note tomorrow. The company had revealed the date as the 9th of August. As the phone gets ready to launch tomorrow, it looks like another variant of the phone has come to light as the Lenovo K8 Plus has been spotted on a Geekbench listing. Such leaks are quite common, especially around the time a phone is about to launch. Let us look at what the Plus variant has to offer:
However, even these listings do not tell us much about what to expect from the phone. It is to be noted that while the K8 Note is the main phone to launch, the K8 Plus is not a part of Lenovo’s Note devices, but is a larger version of the regular K8 device. So far all we know is that the phone runs on the Stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS and that it is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 (MT6757CD) SoC clocked up to 1.7GHz.
Interestingly, the benchmark details show the phone running with just 3GB of RAM. While this can always change between now and the announcement, this would be quite absurd. Lenovo K8 Plus is likely to be announced at a later date while only the Lenovo K8 Note might be announced tomorrow.
On another interesting note, it was recently confirmed that Lenovo has put the Vibe UI to rest. The company will no longer be using the Vibe UI and will instead be making use of stock Android OS. This is a move which is certain to benefit Lenovo. While only limited details are known about the K8 Plus so far, expect to hear more as we draw closer to a launch date. Stay tuned with us for more updates from Lenovo.
