Lenovo is among the biggest names when it comes to the world of technology. The company has made quite a name for itself in the PC markets. However, over the years, they have been a force to reckon with when it comes to smartphones. A Chinese brand which has a global presence, Lenovo owns brands such as Motorola and Zuk which have been quite successful. Their own Lenovo branded phones have sold really well and some of the most popular Lenovo devices are those of the K-Note series of phones. The Lenovo K8 Note is expected to be the next big phone in this series.
As per teasers from Lenovo, the Lenovo K8 Note is expected to come out on the 9th of August. The teaser poster doesn’t really reveal much, and it simply says ‘uncaging’ on the 9th of August. The teaser shows an ‘8’ peeking from curtains, giving a clear hint at the gen-next Note phone from the company.
Before this teaser came out, Lenovo had been posting a number of mathematical questions on their page, pointing towards the launch date of the Lenovo K8 Note. Quite interestingly, Lenovo is going to skip a number and move directly on to the number 8, skipping the K7. This is quite similar to what Samsung and OnePlus have done recently. Samsung skipped the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 last year and launched the Note 7, while OnePlus skipped the OnePlus 4 and launched the OnePlus 5 this year. Lenovo too is planning on doing something similar.
This skipping of the K7 Note does make sense though. Lenovo wants the Lenovo K8 Note to be perceived as a superior, flagship device, equally competent as the other flagships of the year. With iPhone 8, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and Samsung Galaxy S8, it will help the brand if their phone too is numbered at par. Stay tuned with us for more info on the Lenovo K8 Note.
