Huawei has been coming out with a number of smartphones. Most recently, the company released the much awaited Huawei Honor 8 in the US markets. The company is also working on their upcoming smartphone, the Huawei Mate 9, which is expected to release in November. However, between the Honor 8 and the Mate 9 coming out, the company is expected to launch another device. This smartphone, the Huawei Mate S2, is expected to be launched as early as next month. It has now been spotted in TENAA listings.
The Huawei Mate S2 is expected to be a smartphone that offers a high-features, affordable-price combination. This is what Huawei has been known for over the years. The leaked specs from the TENAA listings give us a fair idea about this upcoming smartphone from Huawei, and the leaks make it look quite similar to the Nexus 6P. The Nexus 6P was a special device as Huawei was the first ever China based manufacturer to release a Nexus smartphone. Let us now take a look at the specs and features of the Huawei Mate S2 as seen in the TENAA listings:
The device resembles the Nexus 6P in terms of looks. The device features the same look minus the front-facing and bottom speakers. The power button has now been moved to below the volume buttons in the Huawei Mate S2. A black camera strip similar to Nexus 6P is visible on the back panel. It also features a similar, round fingerprint sensor at the back.
The specs however are expected to be different. The Huawei Mate S2 is anticipated to release with a 5.5 inched screen, along with Huawei’s own HiSilicon Kirin 960 64-bit octa-core SoC. The device will also feature 4GB of RAM. It is expected to release with a 16 MP camera and an 8 MP front camera. The smartphone is said to feature a 3500mAh battery.
