Asus announced its ZenWatch 3 before the start of IFA 2016 event. Previously, the company launched Asus ZenWatch 2 at the IFA 2015 event. The watch is having round shape dial which is just looking awesome. The company has focused more on the design, now giving competition to other players in the market like Motorola, Huawei and LG. The design of the watch is inspired by jewellery - grade 316 stainless steel and diamond - cut benzol. Also, the company had made better improvements in straps by introducing Italian leather or high-quality rubber having beige or dark brown colour.
The Watch comes with three buttons, of which one button features digital crown, the second one is used for customization and the third one launches the ZenFit activity tracking app.The devices come in three different colour formats as rose gold, gunmetal and silver.
Moving towards the specifications of the wearable device, the thickness of the watch is 9.95mm which is slimmer than the Apple Watch and has 1.39inch AMOLED display having 400×400 resolution and 287-pixel density. The device features Corning Gorilla glass face with a curved display which is better from the moto 360 display having a flat tyre.
The device comes with new powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 SoC with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory. Also, it is having 341mAH of battery which keeps the device working for two days continuously. Asus has also introduced a new feature called Hypercharge Technology by which you will be able to charge the device up to 60% in just 15 mins. Also, the device is bundled with a portable magnetic charger, which claims that the device will have 40% more battery life. Besides this, it features 6-Axis Gyro and an ambient light sensor.
Asus claims that the fitness device gives 95% accurate results in terms of tracking the user’s daily activities. The device is having 50 watch faces including the option to make a customizable face as per the need of the user. The price of the device is around EUR 229 which is equivalent to $255 or RS 17000. As per the reports by Verge, the device will be available in Germany and US from October.
