Earlier this year, news broke out that had many hardcore gamers disappointed. It was brought to light that there are no plans to release a new Assassin’s Creed game in 2016. This was indeed disappointing news. However, there was still room for a collection of old games to release. The developers have time and again released ‘collections’ which combine a few games from the series’ past. Based on information shared by members of gaming forum NeoGAF, Assassin’s Creed Ezio is soon expected to release this year. The collection would release for the PS4 and the XBOX One gamers.
As per the members who found this out, they claimed that the source of their information was the South Korean content-rating board, the Game Rating and Administration Committee. As of this moment no official announcement has been made by Ubisoft, the developers of the game. However, it is highly likely that the announcement will be coming soon.
Ezio is among some of the most popular assassins and has time and again appeared in the series. The collection would be featuring the games that consist Ezio, which are - Assassin’s Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. As of this moment, it is highly unlikely that a new game, or even additional content featuring Ezio will be released.
In addition to this, it is being anticipated that while this game might soon be announced, a release is unlikely until early next year. This is being speculated because mid-September to early January is considered to be the ‘Gaming Season’. This is the time a number of major games are released. This is a popular time too, as the holiday season is just around the corner. With Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up in October, November and December, games as well as gaming consoles tend to sell well this time of the year.
